Alexis Zarco is a Chicana poet and visual artist born and raised in San Bernardino, California. She went to UC San Diego to receive a Bachelor’s in Literature/Writing and is currently back home in the Inland Empire. Although she has delved into different writing styles, Alexis specializes in poetry and memoir writing. Some of the themes present in her work include coming of age stories, liminal spaces, immigrant identities, magic, and relationships. Through her writing, she aims to represent aspects of her familial history and assimilation into American life.
